MYOFASCIAL RELEASE (MFR)
MYOFASCIAL RELEASE (MFR): is a safe, gentle and effective therapy that can provide a very welcome relief from pain, discomfort and immobility. In Pregnancy MFR can help make space in the abdomen - allowing the organs to work more efficiently and creating an environment in which both the fetus and new mother are less stressed and more comfortable especially in the last few months. MFR has been described as “the most useful tool for helping babies to move into more favourable positions”.
For the new mother, MFR can help with back pain and healing after birth, including lessening complications to scars from cesarean surgery. MFR also a great tool to simply return to feeling well again. |

tel: 07834 978560 I am a craniosacral practitioner and I use this very gentle and sensitive form of touch in my bodywork. My intention with this work is to bring the light of presence to those places that are still hidden within, which are stuck and which are causing physical or emotional symptoms. I am interested in how our bodies hold on to trauma, and how they also know how to let go of it, when the conditions are right. Initially I trained as a medical doctor and worked in Torbay Hospital, in the Intensive Care Unit. After that I trained as a craniosacral practitioner at Karuna Institute, Dartmoor. That was 10 years ago. I now have a practice in Dartington where I offer sessions to Women, Pregnant Mothers and Mums & Babies. |
